Cyber Crime – keeping safe on and offline | 6th February at 5pm
February 6 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
The North East Regional Cyber Crime Unit (NERCCU) is a dedicated cyber security team that works with businesses, organisations, and communities to promote the steps that we think will reduce the chances of becoming a victim of cyber crime.
The North East Regional Cyber Crime Unit is a trusted partner of NCSC which brings together expertise from CESG (the information assurance arm of GCHQ), the Centre for Cyber Assessment, CERT-UK, and the Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure.
Keeping safe on and off line – we want to show businesses how they can be vulnerable to cyber-attack, by demonstrating a live hack. However it is not all doom and gloom, as we can give you the support to defend against these hacks, in fact we are offering a free vulnerability assessment service, which can give you an overview of your ICT weaknesses, so you can fix them before the cyber criminals can find them. The key topics that we will discuss include:
- Police in Cyber Crime
- The cyber threat to UK business
- Live ‘Hack’ demonstration
- Free Vulnerability Assessment
- Small Business Guide to Cyber Security
This seminar is open to North Tyneside businesses and residents only due to the funding criteria.
