The Business Factory is about being more enterprising, looking at life differently and doing something new. It may be developing a business idea, getting into a new career, or exploring a hobby or skill you might have. The Business Factory can support you with all of this.

We offer free advice to anyone in North Tyneside with the aim of generating new business ideas and stimulating the growth of enterprise. The Business Factory has a team of advisers and coaches, who can work with you free of charge to help identify talents, build skills and enable you to consider and then go on to start a business.

The service which is delivered by TEDCO on behalf of North Tyneside Council, is aimed at potential entrepreneurs in the North Tyneside area.Here are some of the highlights of our work to date:

• We have helped North Tyneside residents to start over 370 new businesses
• We have created a website with a database of 790 new business ideas
• Spoken to over 500 local businesses about what they feel is missing locally which could become a new business opportunity for a North Tyneside resident
• Given 2500 people as much free advice, support and training as they need to help them become more enterprising or to help them start a business
